Hellbound - Stage 4 (Derek and Caravan Certificates)
If you have accumulated 1 million trust points and, while wearing a native outfit, given Bernarde a Native Treasure (meaning you must have killed [Keltas] at least once), you enter Stage 4 of opening Hellbound. At this stage, you may still hunt Keltas for Native Treasures and exchange them with Jude for rewards, but Keltas now respawns every 8 to 16 hours. No monsters in the Native Village grant trust points anymore, and handing in Darion’s Badges to Kief also no longer increases server trust. You will still need Darion’s Badges later to obtain the Basic Caravan Certificate. For now, listen to Bernarde’s story regarding Derek’s restless soul at the Ancient Temple Remnants.

Important: Never kill natives — the rule still applies.

Head once more to the Ancient Temple Remnants, where the soul of [Derek] (Level 83 boss-like Human Mystic) lingers.

Defeat Derek to earn 10,000 trust points. This will immediately advance Hellbound to Stage 5. While you will still encounter aggressive Remnant Diviners and Remnant Diabolists in the area, purifying them with Holy Water no longer gives trust points during Stage 4.

After Derek is killed, the Native Village is restored to its original inhabitants. Darion’s Executioners and Enforcers disappear, and Keltas no longer spawns. Kief and Tailor Buron relocate into one of the village buildings (yellow building on the right side of the map).

Caravan Certificates

Caravan Certificates are essential for progressing through Hellbound. While server trust is shared globally, your Caravan Certificate reflects your personal trust with an independent caravan trading faction. The first certificate you need is the Basic Caravan Certificate.

To obtain it, give Trader Falk at the Hidden Oasis:
20 Darion’s Badges

With your Basic Certificate, travel to the Caravan Encampment and speak with Hude.

Hude will request:
30 Marks of Betrayal – dropped by [Wandering Caravans]
60 Scorpion Poison Stingers – dropped by [Sand Scorpions] and [Desert Scorpions] in the Sand Swept Dunes
• Your Basic Caravan Certificate

Be cautious — the zone contains the aggressive Level 84 Raid Boss [Typhoon].

After submitting the required items, Hude rewards you with a Standard Caravan Certificate (identical appearance to the Basic Certificate).

Across Hellbound, a harmful debuff reduces your HP to nearly zero during daylight (6 AM → midnight in-game). With a Standard Caravan Certificate in your quest inventory, you may purchase Caravaner’s Remedy from Hude. Caravaner’s Remedy:
• Cost: 25,000 Adena
• Duration: 1 hour (real time)
• Removes the Hellbound daytime HP debuff
• Cannot be traded or dropped
