| Seven Signs |
Seven Signs is a recurring two-week competition between the Lords of Dawn and the Revolutionaries of Dusk.
Players choose a Cabal, support one of the three Seals, collect Seal Stones, compete in the Festival of Darkness, and fight for benefits that affect Catacombs, Necropolises, Mammon NPCs and castle warfare.
L2Temida: This page describes the current server configuration. Where L2Temida differs from the classic retail rules, the active server behavior is shown explicitly.
Seven Signs at a Glance
| Step | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | Join either the Lords of Dawn or the Revolutionaries of Dusk during the Competition Period. |
| 2 | Choose one Seal to support: Avarice, Gnosis or Strife. |
| 3 | Hunt Seven Signs monsters in Catacombs and Necropolises and collect Blue, Green and Red Seal Stones. |
| 4 | Deposit Seal Stones at your Cabal Priest. Deposited stones increase your personal contribution and your Cabal's score. |
| 5 | Optionally enter the Festival of Darkness with a party and compete for additional Cabal points and rewards. |
| 6 | At the end of Competition, the winning Cabal is determined and ownership of the three Seals is calculated. |
| 7 | During the Seal Validation Period, the winning side receives its rewards and the active Seals modify the world for one week. |
The Two Cabals
| Cabal | Role | Typical Affiliation | Registration NPC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lords of Dawn | Represents the established rulers and castle-owning side. | Castle-owning clans, their alliances, and eligible neutral players. | Priest of Dawn |
| Revolutionaries of Dusk | Represents the opposition to the castle-owning powers. | Players who are not members of castle-owning clans or alliances. | Priestess of Dusk |
Once a character joins a Cabal for the current Seven Signs cycle, the character remains affiliated with that Cabal until the cycle is reset.
The chosen Seal vote is also recorded for that cycle.
Who Can Participate?
| Character Status | Dawn | Dusk |
|---|---|---|
| No first class transfer | Not available | Not available |
| First class transfer completed, second class transfer not completed | Available freely | Available freely |
| Second class transfer or higher, member of a castle-owning clan or eligible castle alliance | Available | Not available |
| Second class transfer or higher, no castle affiliation | Certificate of Approval or 50,000 Adena | Available |
L2Temida Registration Notes
• The server requires the classic castle affiliation rule for joining Dawn.
• A non-castle character who has completed the second class transfer may join Dawn by consuming a Certificate of Approval or paying 50,000 Adena.
• A castle lord can issue Approval Certificates through the Castle Chamberlain during Competition. The current implementation sells 10 Certificates for 10,000 Adena and limits the issuing counter to 300 Certificates.
• A character must choose exactly one of the three Seals when registering.
Seven Signs Cycle
Seven Signs runs continuously in a repeating two-week cycle. The server uses two short transition periods between the two main weekly phases.| Period | Duration / Timing | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Quest Event Initialization | 15 minutes | The previous Seal Validation ends, player registration is reset, scores are prepared and the next Competition is initialized. |
| Competition Period | Until the following Monday at 18:00 server time | Players register, collect and deposit Seal Stones, and participate in the Festival of Darkness. |
| Quest Event Results | 15 minutes | The Competition is closed, the winner is calculated, Seal ownership is determined and Festival results are processed. |
| Seal Validation Period | Until the following Monday at 18:00 server time | The winning Cabal receives rewards and the effects of Avarice, Gnosis and Strife become active according to their owners. |
The server's major Seven Signs transitions are anchored to Monday, 18:00 server time.
Because the engine includes the 15-minute Initialization and Results stages, the active Competition and Seal Validation stages begin after their respective transition windows.
Choosing a Seal
When registering for Dawn or Dusk, every participant votes for one of the three Seals.Your vote does not directly increase the Cabal's Competition score. Instead, it determines whether your Cabal can obtain or retain that Seal if the necessary voting conditions are met.
| Seal | Main Area of Influence |
|---|---|
| Seal of Avarice | Necropolises, Trader of Mammon, special Necropolis access and related monsters. |
| Seal of Gnosis | Catacombs, Blacksmith of Mammon, special teleports, Orators and Preachers. |
| Seal of Strife | Castle warfare, castle defenses, taxes and mercenary-related siege advantages. |
Seal Ownership and Vote Requirements
The traditional Seven Signs rule uses two important voting thresholds:| Situation | Required Support |
|---|---|
| The Seal is unowned, or must be taken from the opposing Cabal | 35% or more of the Cabal's registered members must have voted for that Seal. |
| The Cabal already owned the Seal in the previous cycle and wants to retain it | 10% or more of the Cabal's registered members must have voted for that Seal. |
Winning the overall Competition and winning a specific Seal are related but separate calculations. A Cabal can win the weekly Competition without obtaining every Seal.
Seal Stones
Seal Stones are the main collectible items of Seven Signs. They can be traded between players and remain in the inventory if they are not deposited.Only stones actually entrusted to a Cabal Priest during Competition become contribution points for that Cabal.
| Stone | Item ID | Contribution Value | Ancient Adena Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue Seal Stone | 6360 | 3 | 3 |
| Green Seal Stone | 6361 | 5 | 5 |
| Red Seal Stone | 6362 | 10 | 10 |
Important Seal Stone Rules
• Stones that stay in your inventory do not contribute to your Cabal's score.
• Undeposited stones do not expire at the end of the Competition and can be saved or traded.
• Depositing stones removes them from your inventory and stores an equivalent Ancient Adena reward balance for your character.
• A winning participant can claim that accumulated reward during the Seal Validation Period.
• Contribution belonging to the defeated Cabal is preserved by the Seven Signs data system and can be carried into a future cycle when the character rejoins that side.
• L2Temida has a maximum personal deposited contribution of 1,000,000 points.
• L2Temida currently uses Rate Drop Seal Stones = x6.
Which Monsters Drop Seal Stones?
Not every monster located inside a Catacomb or Necropolis drops Seal Stones. The dungeon spawn contains both Seven Signs monster families and general dungeon monsters. This is intentional.
| Monster Type | Seal Stones | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Lilim | Yes | Core Seven Signs monster family. |
| Nephilim | Yes | Core Seven Signs monster family. |
| Gigant | Yes | Many Gigant variants contain Seal Stones in their reward tables. |
| Lith and related Seven Signs variants | Yes | Used in lower-level Seven Signs dungeon groups. |
| General Catacomb / Necropolis monsters | Not necessarily | May drop Adena and regular loot only. |
Important: Regular monsters without Seal Stones are not tied to a specific Dawn or Dusk victory.
During the Competition Period, Catacombs and Necropolises use mixed Seven Signs spawn groups containing both Seal Stone monsters and regular dungeon monsters.
During the Seal Validation Period, Necropolis spawns are selected according to the owner of the Seal of Avarice, while Catacomb spawns are selected according to the owner of the Seal of Gnosis. Separate spawn variants exist for Dawn, Dusk and an unclaimed Seal, and regular non-Seal-Stone monsters can appear in each of them.
Examples include Hallowed Watchman, Hallowed Seer, Catacomb Barbed Bat, Catacomb Wisp and Crypt Preacher, which use regular loot tables instead of Seal Stone drops.
Therefore, even if your Cabal wins Seven Signs and controls the relevant Seal, not every monster inside a Catacomb or Necropolis will drop Seal Stones.
Dynamic Dungeon Spawns
The monster population of Catacombs and Necropolises changes with the Seven Signs period and with the owners of Avarice and Gnosis.L2Temida currently uses the dynamic, retail-style spawn mode.
| Period | Spawn Behavior |
|---|---|
| Competition | The normal Seven Signs event monster groups are active. |
| Seal Validation | Special monster groups are selected according to the owner of the Seal of Avarice and the Seal of Gnosis. |
| Period change | The server despawns the old Seven Signs groups and activates the group appropriate for the new state. |
Exact Score Formula
For the Seal Stone part of the Competition, the server converts each Cabal's deposited stone value into a share of a 500-point pool.Stone Score = round(Cabal Deposited Value / Total Deposited Value of Both Cabals x 500)
The Festival score is then added to the stone score:
Total Cabal Score = Stone Score + Festival Score
Because the five Festival brackets are worth 60 + 70 + 100 + 120 + 150, Festival performance can contribute up to 500 additional points.
Competition Score
The overall Cabal score is built from two independent sources: Seal Stone contribution and the Festival of Darkness.| Score Source | Maximum Weight | How It Is Calculated |
|---|---|---|
| Seal Stones | 500 points shared between both Cabals | Each Cabal receives a proportional part of 500 based on its share of the total deposited stone value. |
| Festival of Darkness | Up to 500 points | Each of the five Festival brackets gives a fixed number of points to the Cabal with the better weekly record. |
The Cabal with the higher combined total wins the Competition.
If both totals are equal, the Competition is treated as a tie for the overall score calculation.
Festival of Darkness
The Festival of Darkness is the second major scoring path in Seven Signs. Parties fight waves of Festival monsters and collect Blood of Sacrifice to establish the highest score for their Cabal in one of five level brackets.Current L2Temida Festival Rules
• Festival participation is available during the Competition Period.
• Minimum party size: 5 players.
• The party leader registers the group and pays the entry fee.
• Party members must fit the selected level bracket and must be registered in Seven Signs.
• The intended Seven Signs rule is that a Festival party represents one Cabal.
• All active effects are removed when the party enters the Festival instance.
• L2Temida gives the group approximately 1 minute of preparation before the first wave begins.
• The combat phase lasts approximately 18 minutes.
• The first combat wave begins after 60 seconds.
• The second wave is scheduled at approximately 9 minutes from entry.
• Treasure chests are scheduled at approximately 15 minutes from entry.
• The party leader can request a harder challenge once, causing additional monsters to appear.
• Festival loot is forced to autoloot.
• Festival monsters automatically place Blood of Sacrifice into the party leader's inventory. Normal Festival monsters add 1, the optional harder challenge monsters add 2, and chest-stage Festival monsters add 5.
• The final score is the number of Blood of Sacrifice held by the party leader when the Festival closes; those score items are consumed when the result is recorded.
Festival Level Brackets and Cabal Points
| Festival Bracket | Maximum Level | Cabal Points |
|---|---|---|
| Festival I | 31 | 60 |
| Festival II | 42 | 70 |
| Festival III | 53 | 100 |
| Festival IV | 64 | 120 |
| Festival V | No special bracket limit | 150 |
Winning all five brackets is worth 500 Festival points for the Cabal.
A tied bracket does not provide a Festival point advantage to either Cabal.
Festival Entry Costs - L2Temida
The party leader may pay the entry price using one of the three Seal Stone colors. Festival Price Rate = 1.0, so the values below are the active base prices.| Bracket | Blue | Green | Red |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max Lv. 31 | 900 | 520 | 270 |
| Max Lv. 42 | 1,500 | 900 | 450 |
| Max Lv. 53 | 3,000 | 1,500 | 900 |
| Max Lv. 64 | 1,500 | 2,700 | 1,350 |
| No Limit | 6,000 | 3,600 | 1,800 |
Festival Rewards
Participation fees contribute to an accumulated reward pool for each Festival bracket. At the end of the Competition, the best parties and the winning side are processed by the Festival system.
• The highest score of each Cabal is stored separately for every bracket.
• The Cabal with the higher record in a bracket receives that bracket's Seven Signs points.
• Accumulated Festival participation value is distributed through the winning Festival result system.
• Members of the overall highest-ranked Festival parties can provide 100 Clan Reputation Points per qualifying member to their clans.
Seal Validation Period
After the result transition, the Seal Validation Period begins. This is the reward and world-effect week of Seven Signs.During this period:
• The winning Cabal can claim the Ancient Adena reward accumulated from deposited Seal Stones.
• Ownership effects of Avarice, Gnosis and Strife are applied.
• Catacomb and Necropolis monster groups change according to the owners of Avarice and Gnosis.
• Mammon-related NPCs and Seven Signs services become relevant according to the active Seals.
• The world environment reflects the result of Seven Signs on compatible clients.
World Environment After the Result
The classic Seven Signs client visually changes the world during the result week according to the victorious Cabal.| Winner | Classic Environment Effect |
|---|---|
| Lords of Dawn | A solar-eclipse style effect appears and the sky takes on a violet tone. |
| Revolutionaries of Dusk | An eye appears in the moon and the sky takes on a green tone. |
The server sends Seven Signs state information to connected clients when the period changes, allowing compatible clients to update their Seven Signs presentation.
Seal of Avarice
The Seal of Avarice is primarily connected to the Necropolises and the Trader of Mammon.| Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| Necropolis Control | Classic Seven Signs grants the owner access to all eight Necropolises during Seal Validation. |
| Necropolis Monster Set | The active monster groups change according to the Avarice owner. |
| Trader of Mammon | The Trader of Mammon is associated with Necropolises and accepts Ancient Adena for special goods and services. |
| Anakim / Lilith | The classic Avarice system is tied to special access in the Disciples Necropolis and the Anakim/Lilith route. |
| Entrance Services | Classic Avarice allows the controlling side to use special entrance and Ancient Adena services. |
L2Temida access note: the current Seven Signs teleporter protection is disabled. Therefore the classic winner-only Catacomb/Necropolis gate restriction is not enforced by the standard Seven Signs gatekeeper check.
Seal of Gnosis
The Seal of Gnosis is primarily connected to the Catacombs, the Blacksmith of Mammon and special Cabal support NPCs.| Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| Catacomb Control | Classic Seven Signs grants the owner access to all six Catacombs during Seal Validation. |
| Catacomb Monster Set | The active monster groups change according to the Gnosis owner. |
| Blacksmith of Mammon | The Blacksmith of Mammon travels through Catacombs and provides special equipment services, including classic Mammon weapon and armor operations. |
| Priest Teleports | The controlling side can use special Ancient Adena teleport services in the classic Seven Signs system. |
| Orator of Revelations | Friendly Seven Signs NPCs can provide support magic to the winning side. |
| Preacher of Doom | Hostile Seven Signs NPCs can cast harmful effects on the opposing side. |
L2Temida currently allows Orator/Preacher chat behavior.
The standard teleporter winner check is disabled by server configuration, so access is less restrictive than classic retail Seven Signs.
Seal of Strife
The Seal of Strife modifies castle and siege conditions. Its effects are intentionally asymmetric: Dawn strengthens the established castle side, while Dusk weakens it.| Effect | Dawn Controls Strife | Dusk Controls Strife |
|---|---|---|
| Castle Gate / Wall Defense | Defense is increased. L2Temida applies approximately x1.2 P.Def and M.Def to castle doors. | Defense is greatly reduced. L2Temida applies approximately x0.3 P.Def and M.Def to castle doors. |
| Maximum Castle Tax | Up to 25%. | Up to 5%. |
| Mercenaries | Dawn-oriented mercenary selection becomes available during Seal Validation. | Dusk-oriented / restricted mercenary selection is used during Seal Validation. |
| Siege Weapons | Classic Interlude rules prevent Dusk from using Siege Golem, Wild Hog Cannon and Swoop Cannon while Dawn owns Strife. | Siege weapons remain available under the classic rule. |
If Strife has no owner, normal castle values and the neutral Seven Signs state apply.

| Oracle of Dusk | Near Windy Hill, Gludio Territory |
Ancient Adena
Ancient Adena is the special Seven Signs currency used by Priests and Mammon-related NPCs.Its item ID is 5575.
Deposited Seal Stones create an Ancient Adena reward balance using the same 3 / 5 / 10 value system:
• 1 Blue Seal Stone = 3 Ancient Adena value.
• 1 Green Seal Stone = 5 Ancient Adena value.
• 1 Red Seal Stone = 10 Ancient Adena value.
Ancient Adena is used for special Seven Signs and Mammon services. The server also contains the traditional 1:1 Ancient Adena to normal Adena conversion path.
Mammon NPCs
| NPC | Associated Seal / Area | Typical Services |
|---|---|---|
| Trader of Mammon | Seal of Avarice / Necropolises | Special goods purchased with Ancient Adena, including rare consumables and materials depending on the server's Mammon shop data. |
| Blacksmith of Mammon | Seal of Gnosis / Catacombs | Classic Mammon equipment services such as weapon exchanges/upgrades, armor unsealing and A-grade Special Ability operations. |
| Black Market Trader of Mammon | Seven Signs economy | Traditional Seal Stone / Ancient Adena related exchange functions. |
L2Temida: the server setting that requires Mammon to verify Seven Signs registration/status is currently disabled. This changes access restrictions, but it does not change the Seven Signs currency itself.

Practical Player Guide
| Goal | What You Should Do |
|---|---|
| Help your Cabal win | Register early, farm Seal Stone monsters, and deposit stones before Competition closes. |
| Maximize stone contribution | Prioritize Seven Signs monster families instead of assuming every dungeon monster drops stones. |
| Earn Festival points | Build a coordinated party for the correct level bracket and improve the weekly Blood of Sacrifice record. |
| Get Ancient Adena | Deposit Seal Stones during Competition and claim the stored reward when your Cabal is eligible during Seal Validation. |
| Use Mammon | Watch the current Seven Signs period, active Seals and Mammon location/services. |
| Influence siege conditions | Vote for and control the Seal of Strife. |
Important Notes
• Seven Signs is a two-week cycle, not a one-time event.• Joining a Cabal and voting for a Seal are two separate choices made during registration.
• Overall Cabal victory does not automatically mean ownership of all three Seals.
• Seal Stones must be deposited to affect the current Competition score.
• Undeposited Seal Stones remain physical items and can be kept for later.
• Not every Catacomb or Necropolis monster is supposed to drop Seal Stones.
• Festival of Darkness can contribute as many points as the entire Seal Stone portion of the score, making it strategically important.
• Avarice and Gnosis affect the dungeon ecosystem; Strife affects castle warfare.
• L2Temida intentionally has less restrictive Seven Signs dungeon/Mammon access than classic retail because the relevant protection settings are disabled.
